The idea behind a Concept Plan

Architectural concept are the designers way of responding to the design situation presented to them. It is to translate the non-physical design into the physical building product.

Concept design can simply be a series of sketches, ideas and explorations, or it can go into considerable depth, including design illustrations, indicative plans, sections and elevations and 3D models of a development approach.

The Conceptual design phase is a critical stage, this is the stage where the development team must consider the practical feasibility of the project.
